Theravet Hydrotherapy Unit
Theravet Hydrotherapy Unit came to the Ark Veterinary Practice in April 2002. It operates as an independent referral centre for Veterinary rehabilitation and hydrotherapy.
Theravet takes both veterinary referrals and private clients and offers a range of services including hydrotherapy, low level laser, Mc Timoney manipulation and equine work.
The hydrotherapy unit has a purpose built warm water veterinary pool with an optional jet system.
The water is filtered and treated 24 hours a day and is regularly tested. Access can be via a ramp, lift, or for very disabled patients, an overhead power sling. A second hydrotherapist is available to accompany nervous dogs in the water. A range of toys are available for confident or leisure swimmers and all dogs are washed and dried after swimming.
Theravet is run by Emma Vigor BA (Hons) PG Dip AMM. She is fully qualified in the rehabilitation techniques.
Suitable programmes are run for referral patients including orthopaedic and spinal cases and reports are sent regularly to the patients own vet.
Theravet is open Monday - Saturday with a range of morning, afternoon and evening appointments.
